curious to know what you all think of the current and near future term outlook on healthcare/IT consulting- i.e. kind of like operational consulting advising healthcare companies how they can improve ops better by using IT, especially e-commerce technologies.

Probably a suppressed outlook, given the existing outrage over CfH and the coming budget crunch in the health/public sector. Trusts are more likely to hire ex-consultants directly to do the work.

I am not sure if PA is a top tier brand in healthcare. If you look at career researchers such as Vault.com, and search for top healthcare consultants, PA is not in the Picture at all. Obviously all MBBB's are there as well as Deloitte in the big 4.

its not PA bashing ...i think they are a pretty good outfit. Its just that they are not featured on the rankings tables for top consultants in the healthcare space by the likes of vault, wetfeet, etc...
