Know your market worth;
Know your channels to market (even if one of those is recruiters).
Be a realist and manage your own expectations.

This will sound cliche - but build up your contacts before you actually apply for a new job. So far, worked for a strat role in a leading business and in an MBBB and both roles were landed with the help of contacts...

Why the extra B? Why not just say it was Booz?

I thought about the MBB-B thing as well, but maybe this is just playing tricks. Consider this: If somebody add's the addtl B, normally he'd like to stress that 'B is at the same level of MBB hence 100% likelihood he works there. Why would you otherwise? Well, maybe by giving you a 4th option, you're less likely to find out that he actually works at B or B, rather than 'B, if not M?
