Hi - I have been offered an IT contract outside the UK. Being a UK resident and travelling to the destination country for work only, will I need to pay tax?

Can you recommend any good web resources for this type of information? Thanks.

Where you pay taxes depends on the country where you are contracting and the duration of your contract. There is a so called 183-day rule, i.e. if you work more than 183 days in that country then you may be liable for tax there. Find a good advisor that you can talk to; I can recommend Tresag.

No, as far as I know. I spoke to one guy there a couple of weeks ago regarding contracting abroad and he was helpful and gave me some very realistic advice. Their head office is based in Zurich, Switzerland. Here's their website
