#1 Pay Cuts, Reduced Working ...

EDSer

can we have a roll call of who is doing pay cuts, reduced working etc (but not redundancies, everyone seems to have those)

I'll start: EDS/HP - 5% cut in pay

Davis Langdon (Construction Consultants) have announced the intention to reduce salary by 14%, this includes the small MC practice.

Anon to Jim (#2)

KPMG's drive to have staff accept a shorter working week has received pretty widespread media coverage. Interested to hear of others doing something similar

'Ere we go again to Jim (#2)

EDS are IT outsourcers, not consultants.

Davis Langdon are builders, not consultants.

KPMG are accountants, not consultants.

Looks like the pretenders are the first to lose client custom and fall by the wayside.

A Doctor, not an escalator

A Doctor, not a consultant

'Ere we go again, an EYer or ZB?

'Ere we go again to Mr Spock (#5)

EY are bad accountants, not consultants

No wonder they fell by the wayside first.

EDSer to 'Ere we go again (#6)

'Ere we go again, don't be a twat please, the question was on pay cuts - no where do I say EDS are or are not a consultancy or anything else, it is a simple question. Remember this forum is also for IT Consultants not just stat consultants.

RunDeeMC to EDSer (#1)

Is EDS/HP cutting salaries on both sides of the pond? I thought there was something about them not being able to get employee approval in the UK/EU to amend the employment contracts (whereas in the US they have employment at will rather than contracts, so they've been able to cut pay without consultation).

Do EDS have a really bad cashflow problem or something? According to the latest news (see memo at http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=14571), they're instituting an additional 10% pay cut, effective just for the month of April, and just in the US.

How short of money do you need to be that 10% of one month's payroll in one geography is worth p*ssing off the entire global workforce?
