Numbers of the beach/bench

Wondering

I'm wondering what the beach is looking like right now in the bigger strategy firms (MBBB, RB, ATK, OCC, Monitor, Mercer). I work for one of these and 1/4 - 1/2 aren't working, although it is December. What's it looking like in your firms? And are 'the management' getting nervous?

Wedds to Wondering (#1)

I work for one of the MBB and the picture is similar here. Management line is "don't panic, things are bound to pick up in the New Year", but it's noticeable quieter than the last couple of Christmases. Lots of closed-door meetings, and phone calls being transferred to meeting room lines... which is significant if you're suspicious of mind.

Congratulations on shooting yourself in the foot to I smell bs (#3)

It is ironic when someone uses a conjunction to begin a sentence in which they complain about another's grammar.

content to Congratulations on shooting yourself in the foot (#5)

I can understand some focus on grammar, given our professions, but I’d really like to know more about what is happening. I'm interested in the content. My firm, listed in the first post, is struggling and there is a large question mark over January. Recruitment has slowed dramatically. What is happening out there?

not so bad here to content (#6)

At a continental Europe office for one of the MBB.

While business is slow, the pipeline for January is not bad. Several regular clients starting projects, some continuing projects, and a few new clients needing help with the crisis as well.
