Making fun of the consulting industry...

#1 Making fun of the consulting industry...

Tony Restell (Top-Consultant.com)

Have seen a great series of cartoons making fun of the things we all associate with consulting - irritating expenses policies, endless travelling, etc.

Thought it could be a fun thread to see what other aspects of consulting life you'd want to rip into - answers here please!!

The cartoons published so far can be found here if that helps get your creative juices flowing...

Tony

Bending over (repeatedly) for clients, and then getting beaten over the head by them anyway.

Just had a look at the cartoons. Quite funny. So further to my post above about bending over, relevant cartoon would probably involve a consultant on his knees with his pants down saying "whatever you want Mr. Clause. After all you are paying my employer a lot of money for me."

What about one with a comment from Santa?

'Well, delivering millions of presents around the world all on the same day is actually really easy. I work from home, sit on my backside and my elves do all the work.'

What's the difference between a management consultant and a used car salesman?

A used car salesman knows when he's lying.

Who is more the fool? The person who doesn't know he's lying or the other person who does, but still hires him anyway.

Mr S. Kint to Megabucks (#10)

I'm rapidly starting to realise that I am the fool, working my a$$ off for peanuts for a maniuplative and ungrateful boss. If only I had the balls and motivation to find something that pays better!

Skint - you have been plugging the same line on this forum on and off for the best part of 2 years now!

Please get off your **** and do something about it! Can we expect an update before the next olympics?

Mr S. Kint to Going around in circles (#12)

Sorry Circles, I know I'm expected to have done something by now, but it's easier said than done. It's a weird situation for me. I just need a couple of hundred extra quid every month. Arrgh.
