ZB strikes again...
I have a friend working in Bain and we (new applicants) should hear back in a about week.
Regarding Bain's current situation, I can understand where you might think it is facing difficulties. As the market leader in private equity you would expect a reduction in the number of deals and the subsequent reduction in office utilisation. However, a large portion of PE was probably sold out of the London & New York offices. I would expect consultants from these offices are being forced to travel internationally whereas before they were staffed locally.
In terms of McK I believe they do a lot of work in general finance and sustainability, which I also believe are affected by the current economic climate.
In the end only the firm's partners really know how affected the utilisation is at Bain or Mck.
It is definately not ZB.
