Hey guys... anyone applied to Shell? I've been invited to an interview and was wondering if you guys have any tips?
Good company to work for?
Its a big a company...you might want to be more specific...
Are you applying for: internal consulting, finance, engineering or petrol station attendant?
Applying for a commercial role and for a graduate position.
I don't think there's anything to be gained from applying more than once
what do you want to know? i just passed the first round for commercial
I was wondering what sort of questions they ask and in particular regarding the questions on the current issues to global companies?
How did you find the experience overall?
I found it enjoyable overall. I applied for trading and keeping my fingers firmly crossed for the final round.
They didn't ask anything too economic as it was more of a competency interview with HR and a case study. My advice would be to brush up on competency questions as you can;'t really prepare for the case study.
Ok cool, good to know! Thanks. Can I ask what case study they gave you?
What is the next step for you? The assessment center day?
Next step for me is the assessment center. My case study was a busines sproblem and i had to talk through what the benefits and disadvantages were to how they approached it.
I'd be interested to know if there was any process mapping to do..what a wonderful, insightful and intellectually stimulating thing to do

hey ZB, you have to avoid the PMO projects with acn/cap it-charlatans doing the operative implementation and process mapping tasks you are monitoring the whole day long :-)
Hey Anon, could you be a bit more specific of what sort of business problem you had to analyze? I also have an interview upcoming at Shell. Thank you!
I have an interview coming up in 2 weeks time and was also wondering about the case study.. anyone got more details? Also, what sort of questions do they ask about Shell itself?
