Accenture Interview

#1 Accenture Interview

Haseeb

Hi,

My name is Hsseeb and I have a second round interview at Accenture soon. It is for a graduate program and includes group work and case studies. Does anyone have any tips for me, also if someone could let me know where I could practise case studies it would be very helpful. Thanks a lot.

Case studies? Why not get some real experience in a real job before entering into the sort of role where you'll be advising others on how to do theirs? I would be wary (certainly as a client, and as a prospective employee) of any consultancy that offer the services of inexperienced people.

Well that's all very well, but it's true to say that every major strategy house takes on a significant number of graduate and postgraduate entry people each year to join consulting teams at analyst level. Does this mean you're wary of McK, BCG, Bain, ACN???

As for case study practice, try searching on Google - there are plenty of sites out there. Also try the ones in the careers sections of the major strategy houses' websites.

Cool Cat

Hi Haseeb.

Congrats on securing that interview. Could you share with us how you went about applying to Accenture. Did you just apply directly through their website? Also, what did you find to be their grade requirements/expectations?

I ask only because I've just completed my undergrad degree and am working out how best to target the firms.

Thanks and good luck with your interview.

Accenture recruit only through the web site for undergraduate applications in GB. Go to accenture.co.uk --> carrers --> undergraduate careers.

Has anyone been to the first round interview at accenture. Can you please tell me what they asked? Also what case study question did they ask you?

Erm...

Why would a candidate in a competitive interview process tell their competitors what questions to prepare for?

Perplexed

I'm with Erm... on this one. The interview is designed to see how you think on your feet. Tipping off other candidates gives them an advantage that will lead Accenture to a warped opinion on their abilities. Besides, why would anyone shoot themselves in the foot by revealing the interview questions and assisting the very people they are competing against? Judging by dEV's somewhat hysterical response to Erm's submission it appears that dEV may not be suited to a high pressure environment like we have here at Accenture. Message for dEV - you are unlikely to hack it so don't waste your time or Accenture's going for the interview.
