Is Lean/ 6 Sigma here to stay?

I think it's got at least 5 years left in its current guise, probably even more than this in FS and the public sector.
Then it'll morph into something else with a new name, as it has done since the 1920s, but with similar principles.

So we are talking more Op Ex now then? What makes you say FS and public sector over otehr areas?

Thanks. If it is only Public sector and FS is there still money to be made as a consultant going into this?

lots of companies are trying to incorporate lean six sigma ways of work; some better than others. From my personal experience of working in the Pharma industry, I would say that there is still huge amounts of potential here...especially since the days of blockbusters are now gone and the industry really needs to tighten up. A lot of pharma companies have started implementation but I have worked for the two biggest in the world who have their Operation Excellence department built using internal staff.. OE simply does not work in these cases which is where hopefully the consultants will come in with the cross industry knowledge to help with this
