I am one of those thousands of MBA graduates aiming to get into Strategy consulting in the UK.
My MBA is from Bath and my undergraduate degree from South Africa - on paper, I dont quite make the "Oxbridge" cut, although it is likely I will graduate in the top ten of my MBA class.
I am persuing all the usual routes - web applications, contacting agencies, keeping and eye on job boards and setting up email alerts.
But I also know that 70% of jobs are not advertised, so I am aware that I need to network and do more research.
Can you give me any suggestions regarding getting to speak to people within the major strategy firms? It would not just be to bombard them with my CV, but also to ask what it is really like to work at the firm and to find out a bit more about the culture.
Any advice appreciated.
