I have been working in London for 2 year now and just made Consultant at Accenture. Looking to move back to Newcastle. Are there any consultancies who are based in the north and the majority of their clients in the north?

Im not sure about Newcastle but Deloitte Leeds office covers the north (mainly) and it may be poaaible for you to be based in Newcastle while working there?

danny, are you wanting to leave accenture? because depending on what part of accenture you are in (yes i know you are not services etc), there is an office up there, and yes i do know a number of people that have transferred there.

there's plenty of acn work up in newcastle, and yes, there is even an office you can get transferred to.

Everyone else, thanks for your replies. How easy is it to transfer to the Newcastle Acn office? Although as i have been at ACN for 2 years now, im looking for a new challenge.

not from personal experience but i do know 2 people who moved from London office to Newcastle. Both say it was very easy, just contact HR tell them you want to move and the reason for you moving. You also need to just state the obvious, i.e. that this in no way reflects negatively to your flexibility, that you will still be happy to work anywhere.
