Is outsourcing a consulting branch?

Well, I started to get fed up with news on outsourcing deals or companies, but this is not consulting and should be moved to another newsletter; consulting might be probably called the development of the rationale for outsourcing (and there is no much of it, is it?), not the outsourcing itself. How do you feel about this, guys?

I agree that news of outsourcing deals, or disquised adverts for outsourcing companies, have no place in this forum, there are plenty of other places to find that content. However, outsourcing is a big topic for businesses (our clients). The large consulting firms have outsourcing consulting as a line of business, and there are many of us smaller consultants that also work in this area. You may want to consider your definition of consulting. Expertise in any field that is provided to others is consulting.
