I graduated several years ago with a BA (1st Hon.). I am considering to study for a MBA in either this fall or next year. I am working in the Middle East and since there is no renowned business school in the region (probably the best is London Business School-Dubai EMBA which is too expensive), I would like to pursue my study in distance mode.
I am considering three distance MBA programmes offered from UK universities for application:
(1) Imperial College London, Tanaka Business School
(2) Durham Business School
(3) Warwick Business School
My questions are:
(1) Is distance MBA highly disregarded by MC as a qualification, as there are already a huge crowd of FT MBA graduates from renowned business schools in the market?
(2) An important value of studying for a MBA is that you could build up your network with other students from different industries. However, this value more restricted on distance learning because of lack of opportunities for face-to-face (informal) communication. Will this disadvantage be critical in diminishing the value of distance learning MBA?
Your thoughts would be highly appreciated.
