Help with the hierarchy please

Ash

I was offered a postion for C4. They told me it is junior consultant. I am moving from the industry and i am 31 yrs old.

How does the hierarchy work in consultancy?

What's after c4? c5 and c6? When does it stop?

Do you think c4 is the right seniority for someone with 7 yrs working experience?

anon to Ash (#1)

Firms use letter/number combos in very different ways (it's not a standard system), so it can be misleading to rely too much on them. Similarly, titles are highly variable between firms.

The main thing is whether the salary and responsibilities feel like they're in the right ballpark.
