#1 EY BAS vs BT Consulting

2008GRAD

I have had offers from both EY and BT and am wondering what I should take? I was generally not impressed with BT at all however your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I understnad that these are not quite BCG, Bain etc so please just feeling on these two would be great!

MMark to 2008GRAD (#1)

I've heard good things about BT, but it's not strictly consulting. You do rotations within project man, business inf and consulting. Working both interal and ext. Good experience, but not 'real' consulting.

I have no strong knowledge of EY BAS, but it's a decent brand name to have on your CV.

Both decent, although neither great.

Good luck with your choice

BTGS to MMark (#2)

Are you being recruited as a graduate, Entry Level Professional (ELP) or experienced hire?

If it's any of the first two, avoid BT AT ALL COSTS. Graduates and ELPs are very unhappy.

What's wrong with BT? Reasonable hours, OK pay etc?

Hours depend on your assignment, but I wouldn't say they were bad.

Pay is below average.
