How to move into consultancy

#1 How to move into consultancy

GI

I have been working for a blue chip company for the last 4 1/2 years, and been involved in SSC process improvement and finance transformation project management for the last 10 months. I have always been interested in moving into management consultancy, and after working with external consultants for three months at the end of 2002, I am now convinced that consultancy is definitely for me. Since I already graduated almost five years ago, I have been told that many companies would consider me too old for graduate recruitement - but on the other hand still too inexperienced to join as an experienced hire. Does anyone have any advice on what would be the best route for me to take into consultancy?

AS FAR AS I KNEW, 5-YR'S WORKING EXPERIENCE IS PERFECT FOR A CONSULTANT (MAYBE NOT SENIOR). OUR COMPANY ONLY RECRUIT THIS KIND OF CONSULTANT,'COS WE THINK IF YOU ARE OVER 35 YRS OLD, U BECOME LESS INNOVATIVE AND LESS ACTIVE IN CLIENT-COMMUNICATING....

SO....PERK UP...FIND H.R. RECRUITMENT AGENTS AND SUBMITL YOUR CV...A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD.
