Hi Guys
I am a recent Masters graduate (Edinburgh - Sep 07) who has been applying for strategy jobs in London. I have applied to the ''Big 4'' and MBB (but not confident about the MBB applications going too far).
Anyway, I am wanting to widen my job search further but have no real contacts in this industry to guide me. Therefore, would anyone reccomend other firms boutique or otherwise in London that I should apply for for strategy consulting? Or even direct me to a website which would specialise in this type of search?
Obviously I have found other firms myself outside the ''Big 4'' and MBB (and internet sites) but I was wnating some direction of which firms to go for, on reccomendations and people's experiences...
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Have you tried Mercer, Monitor, Marakon?
How were your experiences at the Big 4? Have you interviewed with any of them yet?
Good luck!

Big 4 going ok at the moment:
I sat numerical/verbal for Deloitte and numerical PwC recently and waiting to hear back from both...got a 'no' from E&Y and waiting to hear from KPMG. Things should move along faster now I expect...
Have had a look at Marakon and Mercer already...I will look into Monitor aswell then, haven't checked them out yet.
Thanks McK!

Can anyone else reccomend??

Try Credo. I was impressed when I went to one of their strategy days. The people there are intelligent and down to earth, and compared with other places, there appears to be a general lack of conceit in the office environment. Roland Berger are another potential firm, although I'm not exactly sure what their reputation/specialties are.

Cheers Seeker...will have a look!

Any strategy firms specialising in Telecoms/Media/Technology?
I know of PRTM and Analysys. Any others?

also take a look at Oliver Wyman, ADL, Roland Berger, AT Keaney

Try Spectrum Value Partners, who until recently were called Spectrum Strategy Consultants. Their focus is telecoms / digital / media and the founders of Lastminute.com learnt a thing or two there before leaving for their entrepreneurial pursuits, if memory serves me correct.
