David - there is only one golden rule about any presentation to anybody anywhere about anything. And it is this:
Tell 'em what you are going to tell 'em
Them tell 'em what you told 'em
oh.....i lied there is a second rule
Concentrate on the benefits of the service NOT the features
When u describe a Benefit.....always end the description with...
" which means that............."
ah a third rule...... do it in 10 minutes and leave 5 for questions. Tell them that in advance
oops number 4. Never ever give then a hard copy of the presentation. Have it. Show it. Handle it. Treat it like a delicate, precious object. But dont hand it over. Leave them begging for more.
If they insist of having it. Ask how much are you prepared to pay for it? Dont accept less than US$5000. If its worth having its worth paying for. If they say its part of your application - say yes i know. Think about that.
