Good evening everyone,

I do Strategy in Financial Services at Deloitte (2 years experience). I am interested in moving to Geneva because I have fallen in love (yep, folks, thats right) - I dont speak french and just a bit of german.

Where could I go?

Thanks a lot for your help everyone.

I was under the impression that Deloitte UK owns and runs the Deloitte Swiss Practice - why not make an internal move?

Giacamo,

You are right, Deloitte UK owns Deloitte Switzerland. In fact, they are giving it a good push for it to grow (its virtually non-existent over there).

But:

- Most (if not all) of the work is in Zurich

- For people based in zurich you have to speak german, in geneva's case french is required.

At least, this is what I have heard (and seen on the job requirements webpage).

Thanks anyhow for your input giacamo. :)

How about P&G? they have a good finance dept and an internal strategy team called Consumer Market Knowledge to assess opportunities in the markets

Thats an interesting suggestion.

I could fit in with the Consumer Market Strategy Group. In fact, I did work in sales with P&G some time ago.

However, I heard that they only hire people to start from the very bottom. Is that not so with this group?
