Etske Moerman Kroon

Hi!

I am a 28 year old female from the Netherlands, just arrived in New York and looking for a job in the consulting sector. I have a Masters Degree in Public Administration (Human Resource Management and Change Management) and five years of working experience as a trainer/consultant at a small firm working for the Dutch Government (local, state + national, f.i. ministries). I trained public officials, policy makers and management in leadership skills, communications skills etc and advised them on training programs. Did acquisitions myself and worked in consultant -teams.

How hard is it right now to find a job with this background, and where to start looking first? Any advice will be highly appreciated!

My first port of call would be business press and a telephone directory. Find details of local headhunters and ring/see them for a chat. Since they earn a commission from every candidate placed, they may ask you to send in your CV and do the search for you. Good luck.
