Can anyone recommend good trainers in the area of Business Process Design?
|
Hi Kate
It really depends on your requirements. If you are interested in the "systems" approach to deigning processes, where the processes are designed in a way that internal staff take ownership of the performance of their systems, you may find information at the following site of interest.

Hi Cate
If you are modelling 'from the top' as is always recommended and aligning with company strategy, then go see www.nimbuspartners.com. They provide training and consultancy in business process design and management, based around their bpm modelling and management product, control-ES.

Hello Cate
Working myself for IDS Scheer, I will of course recommend that you have a look at our website for more informations regarding :
- our methodology
- our approach
- our tool (ARIS, ranked #1 by the Gartner group studies for many years)
IDS Scheer also proposes a seamless connection between business process modeling and IT implementations through dedicated modules and experts.
Feel free to e mail me back if you require more informations.

Dear Cate
We have a full business process design methodology, in step-by-step format, which we use to train our own consultants and offer to client organisations. We are happy to train others in this or to license the intellectual property.

Hi Cate,
I understand that you are seeking a competent and reliable trainer in the field of Business Process Design. I have had the opportunity to work with Anthony Howlett from OTT Consulting whilst at several previous employers. He specialises in Bus Process Design and many other subject areas. Anthony's training style is innovative and compelling (and more importantly I have found he is incredibly good value for money). I would have no hesitation in recommending him. He can be contacted at OTT COnsulting on 01883 340929 (web site address is www.ott-consulting.co.uk). I believe his e-mail is anthony.howlett@ott-consulting.co.uk
Kind regards
Simon

I am new to this site. I have an MBA, CMA. I am trying to land a job in consulting- BPR, Re-Engineering, Business Investigations etc in keeping with my training. Please provide some pointers.

Cate, I guess it will depend on who you want trained and what specifically you are trying to achieve. I work with a network of independent consultants who regularly work on process design and training. I'd be happy to talk to you and put you in contact with people that may have expertise in your industry. Contact me by e-mail or on 07946 415363.

Hi Cate. I've worked with a number of companies on Change Management programmes with Process Design being a core component (www.bpscms.co.uk). I also work with Elements of Change Ltd (a long established training company) who offer formal accredited training on the subject. Its a modular approach to training so you only select what you need from a comprehensive offering. They have an impressive client list (www.eoc.co.uk). Let me know and I can introduce you to them. Regards David.

It depends on the knowledge of the intended participants and your / their objectives. And do you mean "design" or "definition of what is done currently"? Or even "improvement after defining the current process"? Or perhaps "understanding the underlying concepts so that we can define and improve the processes more easily"? It also depends on how you intend to define the processes (do you have a corporate standard for presentation?) and on whether you merely want to design a few processes or to
design a complete management system.
You may get some ideas from the following:
1 we are running a workshop entitled "Business Processes – how to understand them well enough to manage them" in Edinburgh in a couple of weeks in conjunction with Jim Wade of the Business Improvement Network (see http://www.mandos.co.uk/articles/BIN_Flyer_180603JW.PDF)
2 my article "Time to Trigger a Transformation" in the April 2003 edition of TickIT International (www.tickit.org/ti2q03.pdf) will give you some further background.
Let me know if you need any more details or want to discuss it further.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Peter Fraser

Check out this old thread - can you believe people used to put their REAL NAMES on posts!!
How things have changed....

What's wrong with that? A lot of us still do use our real names.
Yours sincerely,
