Dear Tom,

You might like to look at the mail response I gave to Blaine Welch for some tips to moving into consulting.

I recently presented some material to the Business start up exhibition in Birmingham which had 10,000 visitors. If you would like this material please let me know.

If you have business experience it is now important to decide the different paths that consulting can take you.

A good start would be to look at the one day interactive course for new and aspiring consultants as www.highprofitconsulting.com This could be an excellent start and will give you the essential principles to show you how to win profitable business and build wealth in management services. The course is applicable for those working in consultancies and those looking to set up their own business.

Good Luck and I hope this is helpful

Kind regards

Anne

Randhir,

Don't want to dampen your fire, but an MBA alone does not make for nearly enough preparation to move into Consulting. I would heartily suggest that you get into a Consulting firm and learn your trade firstly!

I would estimate that 90% of Consulting is people skills and dealing with complex political / emotional situations.

I am a young MBA myself, working as a Management Consultant. When asked which is more valuable, my MBA or my 4 years experience I do not hesitate to answer!

The MBA is your introduction into the world of business, now you need to build upon this!

Hope that you find value in my comments!
