Looking at the salary report, is it worth the struggle up the ladder and commitment once you get ther for the money on offer as a partner?

For me at least, no.

Partner to anal-ist (#1)

The salaries aren't representative of what a partner in a Big-4 firm would earn, not by a long shot.

Pardon my ignorance but on here when people and headhunters refer to the big 4 are they talking E&Y, Deloitte, PWC & KPMG or Acn, Cap, Bearing Point etc.?

Big4 to anonymous (#3)

Big 4 is still the audit houses, in my book. EY, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte.

Although partner pay at the 'ex' Big 4 (CGEY, Atos KPMG, Accenture, etc) is likely to be similar.
