Hi, I’m preparing some material aimed at helping people influence clients more effectively. I’m talking about the stuff that goes on before an assignment is let, what goes on during an assignment, and what happens afterwards. I’m looking for examples of the issues that cause most frustration and difficulty to consultants and business developers in professional services, centred on getting commitment, getting the client to take issues seriously, and dealing with competition.
