Life in Norway

I would like to hear from someone who has re-located to Norway (Stavanger) for work. What challenges to get along with social system? schooling, health care, language etc..

I know the living expense is 30% more than UK... any tips to save money while I am new to the place?

Any suggestions/comments will be highly appreciated

I was backpacking there some years ago.

Stavanger is a big village, meaning that its nothing like cosmopolitan or stuff.

Health care, education and in general anything that is related with social - public service is amazing.

People tend to leave to oslo or stockholm looking for a bit more of excitement.

In my experience, housing is the most expensive increment compared to the UK by far and away.

There is (in my humble opinion) a great Asian supermarket in the Kvadrat (the big shopping mall in Forus).

I'm sure that you would find most of what you want there.
