From Acn to top MBA?

I've decided i want to change career and a top MBA is my best way to do it.

I'm currently looking at Insead and IESE and have been at Acenture 3 years (C1). Does it have a good enough brand name to get me into a top mba like these? I know it's what you did there rather than where you did it but the brand name does appear to count.

Hi,

I think what would get you a place at those Business Schools are you personal Statement, a good GMAT score...You would find thier web pages informative.I believe you have been there.Experience at Acn might not be an automatic leverage.Good Luck!

Solid work experience is good, they will look at lengh of work experience AND quality of it. if I were you think about how to deal with the lenght of experience question. GMAT is essential for good schools, do not underestimate this as the bar especially as you have relatively few years in work. Finally, you're an individual and sell sell on why you are going to bring your uniques perspective to the course and the group. Good luck

from INSEAD to anon (#1)

i am about to join Insead in September and i my CV was only 2 years in Big 4 Consulting and 1 year in industry - nothing spectacular - play down the brand of who you have worked for, and play up the scope and vareity of work you have been involved in and cultures, countries you have been to - this cenments INSEAD and to a lesser extent IESE. Many of the profiles of my class are very young 26-28, not all that much work exp, and very entrpreneurial. its expensive though €49k tuition only. good luck
