I am studying MA Marketing with a 75% average and have a 2.1 in Business Studies and 3 months experience on a market entry consultancy project. I really want to get into management consultancy but am not sure how. Do you think I have the background to get in - who should I apply to?

Having qualifications and knowing the theory is all well and good but getting some real practical experience under your belt would be advantageous. Practical experience and actual achievements demonstrate a knowledge level that goes beyond the theoretical approach and helps to build client relationships. Unfortunately, or maybe thankfully, the world does not always conform to the established model.

No doubt others will disagree but then listen to what the clients are really saying...

Good luck
