Anyone know about this group in BAH? How are they doing?
Yes, I know them well. Well enough to know that associates do get bonuses regardless of whatever your agent told you, and well enough to know that BAH as an organisation expects its associates to be generalists rather than subject matter experts.
Is the ITG career path different to the conventional? Are the ITGs expected to have MBAs?
they're less likely to be MBAs. It's one of those practices that to some extent in my opinion differs to the rest of the firm by hanging on to people rather than dumping them back in the 'pool' at the end of an assignment so they end up going off and doing something totally different in a different industry sector. Probably because generalists just can't blag their way through IT projects which require a degree of understanding of the subject.. after all you can't just google the answer for this kind of assignment (and even if you can, you probably can't understand it unless you know a thing or two about IT). The projects are business strategy level but do usually require IT sector knowledge
