Value of the Consulting Market

#1 Value of the Consulting Market

Paul

I read somewhere that there are between 30,000 and 40,000 consultancies in the UK. Are these figures correct and if so what is the source of the information?

Can anyone tell me the total value of the UK consultancy market (in terms of revenue) and are there figures for the global market?

Are those markets expected to grow over the next 5 years, and at what rate?

Thanks,

Paul

Paul, even though I don't have the total value of the consultancy business in the UK, I can say that the majority of these firms are one-man shops, incorporated solely for the purpose of facilitating a personal engagement. The multi-employee firms will be a number signigicantly lower.
