bonus - no chance

#1 bonus - no chance

I haven't had a bonus for years, and when I did get one it was lousy and taxed at 40%, hardly worth the effort

It's not me by the way, none of my peers get anything either

And we are doing good work

Hah, my last "bonus" was for £500. I kid ye not. And that was 3 years ago. What a motivator - not.

CG to Bonus (#4)

In Cap only SC and above are eligible for bonus. Those below like myself got £250 at Xmas however. Better than nothing.

Tony Restell (Top-Consultant.com) to anon (#8)

Consulting bonuses are by no means on a par with investment banking bonuses, but in the current buoyant (UK) market a zero or low bonus should be the exception rather than the norm. We polled 140 recruiters in the last month and the average bonus they'd awarded to consultants in the last bonus round was over 10% of base salary - so that's an average bonus of several thousand ££s.

Full details are in our annual recruitment report; if you haven't downloaded a copy yet you can find it at:

Hope this is helpful

Although to Tony Restell (Top-Consultant.com) (#9)

The reality is that firms that generate a significant proportion of their profits form the public sector have not had such a boom year.

I know my firm has a likely bonus of zero.

Eeeerm, don't you think that perhaps you ought to move? If your firm is making profits(apparently all consulting firms are having it off large) then as a contributor you ought to be bonused. They are merely having a laugh at your expense and whatsmore you're allowing it. Ask for a raise or why you've not had a bonus for years.

Lets face it, if you're any good you'll get a better job away anyway.
