If you are talking about MBA recruiting within the big consultancy firms, I don't have a particularly good feeling about the year ahead.
If however you are talking more generally about MBAs going into other sectors, then I am starting to hear gentle soundings about the market picking up this year. Although my gut feel suggests that it won't be until nearer the end of the year.
I believe MBAs would do well to consolidate their experiences and skills so far, take the opportunity to look hard at their career progression to date and do more work on making themselves more marketable, for the time when the market does pick up. My experience of MBA recruiting and career counselling is that many are very poor at marketing themselves.
