does my profile fit in strategy consulting?

hi,

i would appreciate if anyone can help me with this. i am Actually pursuing my MBA degree at HEC- Paris and i am trying to get an offer in one of the startegy consulting firms. I have my prior degree in computer sciences and mathematics.

My previous experience is in entrepreneurship more specifically two years in establishing an import and wholesale company. i am only 24 years old which sounds a little bit young for an MBA.

i have tried to apply to many companies but no feedback at all. i am starting to question whether my profile fits or no.

i would be gratefull if anyone can give me a feedback of his experience.

Hi Nadim. I would say you are too good for them. They usually go for idiots because they can mold them more easily. Frankly, why do not continue with entrepreneurship? It something more enticing to pursue than management consulting.

well, thanks for your comment but i decided to go for consulting, first to gain some experience in different fields (because i am 25 years old only) and save some money for later on (after 6 or 7 years) and then relaunch my entrepreneurship career
