Life after an MBA help!!!

Hi I am Hiren Satra a pharmacist by profession and have currently completetd an MBA at a reputable school. I have always been self employed and am looking to branch into management consultancy. Unfortunately I don't have a corporate background and am finding it difficult to break into this field. I have done some change management work for GSK and R&D innovation for Pfizer but both companies are looking to shed staff currently.I would like to stick to the pharmaceutical field if possible. Can anyone help or advise as to how I should progress and are there any small/niche consultancies out there looking for an entrepreneurial generalist.(My personal business experience is a testimony to my turnaround capabilities).

I work for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young US. These days, Health Care seems to offer a good consultancy niche or at list consulting firms have great expectations about in US. CGEY is currently looking for such specialists. I think your pharmacist background together with your MBA would fit these type of needs. I would recommend you take a look at the CGEY web site for career opportunities within the US so that you have a better idea of that the market is demanding in regards Health Care. Unfortunately, I cannot advice about other countries.
