Hi - I'm trying to make sense of my application results. I applied to 8 consultancies, got rejected by 5, but received interview offers from Bain, Mercer and OC&C.

Is this typical?

Or, should I reapply to the others gambling on the fact that they wont remember a re-application?

That's a very good success rate! You have done well.

Re: the others - what harm would it do if they do remember your first application? All they can do is reject you again - there's no downside risk whatsoever from your point of view.

Thats funny. I sent off 5 and got rejected by two but got offered interviews by the 3 you have outlined above
