Is the market growing for Information Security Consultancy? How is it perceived in the Consultant industry? I’ve been specializing as a Security Consultancy now for over 2 years, and I’m currently working in the Middle East. The market here is growing, and there is a lot of interest in the market for Information Security. How is the security market in the UK? I know of opportunities here, any consultancies or interested consultant?

I am working closely with an info security firm in the UK and we are looking for such opportunities in the Middle East, particularly, the Arabian Gulf area. Is there scope for such co-operation between our respective organisations?

I specialise in the supply of both interim and permanent IS Consultants and am currently acting on behalf of a number of candidates. Could this be of interest?

I have been specialising in database and web consulting for the past 3 years. Prior to that I was project manager developing software. Whilst I have basic understanding of IT security through the database, web and application aspects (including use of PGP, encrytion techniques, etc) I don't market myself as a security consultant.

I have two questions. 1) Is it difficult to get into the security market? 2) If you would provide me with some leads (in your location) I would be greatful.
