Which firms would you advice me to contact?

#1 Which firms would you advice me to contact?

Swede

My educational background is political science. I have been employed as a research assistant for 5 years at a research institute. Here I wrote reports for the public sector. These reports analyze vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, threats against Information Technology, private/public partnership, critical dependencies etc.

Tnx

Swede

anon to Swede (#1)

Some of the firms that might be interested in you:

Corporate Executive Board

McKinsey Global Institute (research wing of the consultancy)

Booz Allen Hamilton - government/IT practice

PA Consulting - government/IT infrastructure practice (I forget the correct name, but it'll be on their website. They are also big in Scandinavia, which may be useful if your screen name is an indication of where you currently reside.)

Capita Advisory Services

Hedra

IBM Business Consulting Services (they are big on producing research, white papers, thoughtpieces, etc. in parallel with their consulting)

The best-fit firm for you will depend on what balance you are looking for between leveraging your research skills (i.e. going in as an experienced hire) and developing a consulting skillset (i.e. potentially going in at a more junior level than you currently enjoy).

Cap to swede (#3)

Hi Swede, if you are in Sweden, then I would recommend Capgemini as well. They are currently aggressively recruiting management consultants (both junior & senior).

Maybe this position is suitable for you?: http://reca.nordic.capgemini.com/adList.asp?selAdID=1547&cID=1
