Artur

Hi, I have been working for Andersen BC for 3 years specialising in BPR and CRM strategy and processes. Now I decided make another step in my career path and look for a consulting job in EU. Unfortunatelly the biggest constraint is to obtain a work permit for non-EU residents. Pls give me an advice how to find a position in management consultancy in EU if I am ready to move to other country. Write to: evitasa@poczta.onet.pl

ASMO

Artur - I can see from your email address that you are in Poland. Should the EU enlargement negotiations in Copenhagen in December go well, Denmark (and maybe other EU countries?) have pledged to grant citizens from in-coming countries access to their labour market. Check with the EU consulates in your country, there might be something there, although the consulting market is VERY flat everywhere at the moment

SVicious

This ia an extremely tough market and jobs and not very easy to come by. So the open positions will definitely first go to those that do not need a work permit and if there is an excess need then internationals are sought. I would try to send out as many CVs as possible to other consulting firms that have service offering around your expertise. When the market turns (slowly but surely), then look to moving to another place.
