New Career in Consultancy

Don Assi

Hi All...

Would appreciate some help on understanding what the best route is to get into formal consultancy in the eCommerce side of things.

I've just resigned from a Head of eCommerce and Product Dev at a large online travel company. The job itself had some consultative tasks but the majority was more operational and leadership based.

I have however done some consultancy for online travel companies in my spare time and was looking to do this more formally within the large Consultancy firms.

I have an MSc in eCommerce from University of London and am en-route to doing a part-time PhD in April 07.

Can anyone give me suggestions on how to get into consultancy? I am looking for a fairly senior consultancy role with over £50K.. is that being too ambitious?

Any ideas.. or sites I can go to would help me no-end.

Thanks guys..
