McKinsey BTO - Business/IT Balance?

#1 McKinsey BTO - Business/IT Balance?

SO

Hi!

I've got an Economics degree and I've been working in IT during the last 3+ years in CRM implementations (as part of functional teams) and in the desing and coaching of application support structures.

I started in consultancy but then moved to client and I am a bit disappointed with the experience at the moment.

I'd like to go back to consultancy (IT related but with a strong business component) and I was thinking of applying to McKinsey BTO in London.

1. Could somebody shed some light on the IT knowledge expected? What is the IT/Business balance they are looking for?

2. If based on the brief background above you feel McKinsey BTO is not the right place for me what would you recommend?

3. Do other strat houses have similar groups?

Many thanks in advance for your time and advice!

Sorry to be a pain but does anybody have anything to say about my query?

Thanks again!
