It is placed above many UK programs in the FT rankings. It has improved a lot since David Begg took over and it moved out of the quite unsuitable buildings on the other side of the road but it is probably fair to say that it is still a case of not quite matching up to the reputation of its parent institution, in relative terms. That said, I'm sure the teaching is up to a decent standard (rated Excellent in HEFC assessement) and it has a suitably good research rating (5 in RAE).
It really depends on your expectations and your own calibre - it probably won't propel you into a job with McKinsey...but do you have what it takes to get into LBS?!
Moving on to more subjective matters I personally might be inclined to give Oxford, Cranfield, Manchester, Warwick or even Cass a good look before making a decision.
