Hi.I have just finished graduation in a Red Brick Uni and wanted to try Consulting but I may have a problem: because of a metabolic disease, I am very fat (108 lb overweight). Will this limit my chances of being accepted, as this is a client facing job? Please help...

It won't enhance your chances. However, if you are smart intellectually, well dressed, well mannered and have a good personality, there is no reason why you wouldn't stand a good chance.

I actually think it will enhance your chances immensely.
Firms need to hire certain % of people with disabilities. As you defined your problem a 'metabolic disorder' - it is a disability rather than a trait of a greedy eater. If you specifiy this - you might have better chances of getting in to fill that " we support applicatons from invalids" criteria.
I am not writing this out of haste: I am disabled ( I have an amputated arm) and I work for a tier 1 Strat house

MFJPNV,
You think you got hired because of your amputated arm? Puh-leeze. You were hired because you demonstrated all the qualities of a successful MC. Period.
As an active interviewer at my Firm, we are not pressured, asked, nor hinted in any way, shape or form to admit anyone less than fully qualified. If we started hiring people to fill some type of quota, we wouldn't be top tier for much longer....

I agree with Beng.
I would suggest MFJPNV to be more sensitive with personal judgement regarding the MC firm's recruitment.
For John Tender, be yourself and believe in yourself. MC people are way smart enough to know what is brilliant in you. They care about talents, regardless of their size, color, age, etc.
All the best.
