Getting in a strategic role in Brussels

All,

I have been working as a business / strategy consultant in Ireland for the last 7 years and fancy a new challenge - preferably one step removed from the consultancy business. I'm thinking of Brussels at present - I speak fluent French but probably don't write it too well. And no Dutch / Flemish! Does anyone know of good, respected companies that are hiring at present - either in or out of consulting? I would also appreciate people's views on who are the best recruitment agents to contact in Belgium.

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

Check out Robert Walters (http://www.robertwalters.be). They seem to post a lot of consulting jobs. Most of them are at Bain or McK, so I guess they have some sort of connection to those companies.

Another good website is www.eurobrussels.com. This site lists all types of consutlancies with focus on lobbyists and think tanks. But quite interesting if you fancy sth else than strat.

Languagewise you will certainly have a disadvantage not speaking dutch, but it will all depend on the ongoing projects...

good luck,

profb
