Hi All,

Have anybody heard of this consultancy company called Kepner Tregoe? What do they actually DO? Which industries they work in? What services they provide?

I visited their website, but could not get any satisfactory information to these questions. It would be very kind if anybody who knows about this company well (maybe somebody who works in this company) to reply to my queries.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Thank you.

Regards,

K

Toohats

They came up with a rather complicated spin on basic problem solving technique some years ago, and sell it into whoever will listen - which includes a long list of blue chips I hasten to add. I don't know if they do anything other than (bog standard) classroom training. If they can't be clear on their web, then they'll just be flogging whatever they can (including training) to make a living in all likelihood (that actually puts them alongside PWC, Andercenture, KPMG, Cap and the rest, frankly) If the client list is good, and they look after you, that's what counts. It's always what counts.

Thanks for your reply Toohats. But apart from classroom training, what else do they (Kepner Tregoe) do? Do they use this classroom teaching technique to deliver strategy or implement operations?

Also, if they are a training company, how come you say they are in the same league as PwC, KPMG, etc.? I thought these companies are bluechip and do much much more than just classroom coaching.

Personally, would you recommend anybody to join KT?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

K

soho to K (#3)

KT is a Training company - I don't think they are that well known. As for the client list, small companies like them include every company where they taught one class.

If you want to pursue a real consulting career, look somewhere else.
