Professor is interested in a second job as consultant

Christoph

Hi, I have more than 10 years experience as a team leader, project manager and consultant in the IT-security area. Now, I have a chair in computer science at a university of applied sciences in Germany. I am interested in working as a consultant (as a second job or part-time) but I am not sure whether large consulting companies are interested in such a construction.

Any hints, opinions, etc. are welcome.

Certainly there's no official HR process to handle that!

YOu may want to consider getting involved with KTP - knowledge transfer partnerships, which seek to cross-pollinate industry and academia:

YOu can see form the list of partnerships, the university acts like a consultancy in its own right

I don't see any consulancy firms on the page, i searched for a few.
