As someone who has started two, going on more, companies which I operate(d), and who has advised those wanting to start up companies, and someone who has had a venture successfully funded by a venture capitalist, who just completed a detailed look at the equity and other landscape of available funding types (reply for link to the report), who has advised numerous companies large and small, I would possibly be interested in writing in the area of startups. Please return email with a more precise description of what you have in mind.

What overflowing abundance of willing authors! Reminds me of the old joke: Policeman sees a farmer apparently lost in the big city, staring at a map held upside-down. 'Where do you want to go?' the policeman asks. "I need to find the National Writers Association - must enrol as a member", answers the guy. 'What member, you can't even r e a d!!', the astonished policeman says, only to hear a dignified answer: "I am a Writer, not a reader!"

In relation to your buniness guides, I have just completed my latest book Title - Rip-off (subtitle - The scandalous inside story of the Management Consulting Money Machine). It's pretty ghastly in the horrors and deceit it reveals as I tell how management consultants have ripped off one major corporation after another (all household names) Could this be of interest to Virgin Books. Please note I have already had 4 books on management published by people like Collins, Cassell and Nicholas Brealey Publishing

To the series editor for Virgin Business Guides - I have been looking to do a promotion in the Virgin Clubhouse at Heathrow of business guides including one on teams. Also have a lot of information on leadership although no guide available at present. Would be interested to know if there was an opportunity for joint development. Sue Matthews
