I have advised, researched and published in the area of board leadership, corporate governance and strategic leadership. I'm also qualified as a Company Secretary and have an MBA. I am keen to join a reputable consultancy / advisory firm. I would would like some advice on which consultancies (or other firms) operate in this arena and/or would be interested in this type of consulting in the UK, US and internationally.
Thank you

Not sure quite what you mean, but:
PA, Deloitte etc have strategy practises which include some elements of board leadership. PA's POC practise also does some work in this area. Penna I beleive have some strong coaching relationships with various heads of industry. In terms of bigger picture thinking on hat board leadership etc means in the future of industry- McKinsey's are good- have a look on their website

I've worked in board effectiveness for several years. This is a very different type of consulting, but highly valued, to that of the major consultancies and strategy houses. Your experience and skills, particularly being a Company Secretary would be of interest to the key players in this field. I would advise talking with some of the Board & Executive Head Hunters - Korn Ferry, Whitehead Mann, etc. Also try specialist firms like Mercer Delta in US (Not sure of their strength in UK?). Other forum members may be able to highlight some specialist firms working in corporate governance and board effectiveness. Good Luck!

Deloitte set up an Academy in this area last year (see link to press release). Not sure what they have behind it to support it. Could be worth exploring.

Interesting! I'm sure Deloitte and others are keen to be in this area. But many of the big Audit firms are primarily supplying training - maybe because they are trying not to compromise Audit responsibilities.
Like the original questioner, I am keen to find out which UK firms are truly 'Consulting' in this area and what they are doing?
