Allan

I accepted a job offer with the London office of marchFIRST at the beginning of last year, a couple of months before they went out of business. I'm now getting more consulting interviews, so should I mention the fact that I accepted a job with mF? or will the fact that I accepted that job look to a potential employer as if they are second choice?

Allan - my personal opinion is that the fact that you were offered a position with a (then) respected consultancy will be a positive endorsement for your candidature, and you should not be afraid to mention this. You could talk about the things that attracted you to marchFIRST as being the very things that have attracted you to want to join XYZ consultancy... As with most things, whether this will be seen in a good or a bad light by the interviewer will largely depend on your skill in presenting it as such. Good luck with the interviews. Tony
