I work in Andersen Business Consulting for the last 2 years and i'm worried about the d&t merge in my country. It's very probable that a separation between the audit and consulting practices will ocurred in a near future so ... what is the future of consulting practice in a audit firm?

Tony Restell

In all probability consulting practices have no future within an audit firm - the regulatory bodies will not wear it, and more importantly nor will clients who fear for the impact on their share price if any lack of independence in the audit is suspected. If you don´t survive the change of ownership, my advice is to go work for a smaller consultancy - this is where the growth and the opportunities are right now... Good luck

Holden Consulting and HR - Jonas to Arthurito (#3)

Dear Arthurito

Our advice in the current climate would be to stay put. You may want to diversify your experience into other sectors internally - i.e Energy -Oil and Gas

If you find you are stuck you could always join our Latin American operation. We have peole on this forum falling over themselves to work with us - it is our industry insight and market anticipation which set us apart. I'd ignore Mr Restell's comments above as they are in our view soooooo wide of the mark.

Happy to help

Holden Consulting and HR - Jonas
