desperately seeking w/l balance

wandering consultant

Like many, I am currently searching for the elusive work/life balance. While I am keen to stay in a consulting-type position I would like to reduce my travel requirements before the wife files for divorce! As such I'm looking for an internal consultancy role within a blue chip. I understand that a lot of the blue chips run their own internal consulting teamsm, but a lot seem to staff these with new graduates and don't tend to recruit experienced hires. Any pointers on firms who look to recruit experienced consultants would be appreciated.

K

Not too sure about the internal consulting positions other than suggesting you speak to a few recruitment consultants. Posting your CV on this site will get the dialogue going.

Also, have you tried an internal roll within a consulting firm? Resourcing, Marketing, Hr, KM etc? Just a thought.
